Nominations open for outstanding engineers

The Rice Engineering Alumni Association is soliciting nominations for the 2009 Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award and the Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni Award.

The first is presented to an individual who, as judged by the REA Board of Directors, best represents the standards of excellence embodied in a Rice education. Winners may be selected for outstanding engineering achievements, distinctive community service or other accomplishments that merit attention.

The second award is give to alumni younger than 40 for achievements commensurate with their age, using the same criteria as in the OEA award. A nominee must hold at least one engineering degree from Rice University. Please send nominations and your contact information to engalum@rice.edu. The deadline for submitting nominations is May 1, 2008. Anyone is eligible to submit nominations.
